How far in advance can I book my wedding?

Typically, we are able to book your ceremony as early as 9-12 months in advance, depending on your desired date, the size of your group, and desired ceremony site.

Is a deposit required?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to your ceremony. We prefer personal checks as payment, but also accept major credit cards.

Are there discounted room rates for members of the wedding party and guests if they want to stay at the resort?

Yes, room blocks and special rates can be arranged for 10 guest rooms or more through the hotel’s reservation department. Room rates depend on availability, as well as seasonality. All hotel rooms and room blocks must be arranged directly through the hotel.

Do I have to be a guest of the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel to get married at BiCE?

No, you do not have to be a guest staying at the resort. However, it is more convenient and less stressful for the bridal party and guests to be in one location on the wedding day. If I book a wedding, do I have to book a reception at BiCE? No, you may have just your ceremony at the venue without being required to book any kind of reception.

Will there be an area to get dressed on the day of the wedding?

Hospitality suites are not included in the ceremony site fee. Couples are encouraged to book a room at the resort for a stress-free wedding day experience.

Is there a fee for parking at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel?

Self parking is complimentary with your event. A discounted Valet parking rate of $5.00 can be pre-arranged.

How much advance notice is needed for booking a wedding ceremony or reception at BiCE Ristorante?

We recommend a one week minimum for Ceremonies and a two month minimum for Receptions. We are capable of handling last-minute requests, subject to space and staff availability. Holidays and weekends may be difficult to accommodate without sufficient notice.

What is the best time of day for a ceremony?

The best time of day to hold a ceremony is early to mid-morning and late afternoon (most comfortable temperature and lighting for outdoor photos). However, we are happy to accommodate any times between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Do we need a marriage license?

Yes. Florida law dictates the conditions for marriage license issuance and the fees. The Clerk of Courts provides an information sheet to help you understand the requirements of the law and to answer questions which are frequently asked.
